Why are you engaged with the Goldfarb Center?

My involvement with the Goldfarb Center deepened considerably when I realized the center’s significant impact on public discourse at Colby. I am captivated by its ability to empower students to actively engage in public debates, policy discussions, and conversations surrounding pressing societal issues—an aspect that holds immense importance in fostering informed and active citizenship. 

What does leadership mean to you as someone on the Goldfarb Student Executive Board? 

As a member of the Goldfarb Student Executive Board, I interpret leadership as the responsibility to inspire and guide fellow students in our shared mission of promoting civic engagement and collaboration at Colby. It involves fostering an inclusive and free environment, encouraging diverse perspectives and actively contributing to the goals and initiatives of the Goldfarb Center. 

What do you think is the most interesting thing happening right now in public affairs?

A very intriguing topic for me at the moment definitely leans towards the technological advancements in Governance and the Law. The emergence of new technologies raises important questions and regulation considerations that have the potential to significantly impact individuals’ lives. 

Looking ahead, what are you most excited about for this coming year?

As I approach the end of my college experience, I am incredibly excited to build upon the work handed down by recent co-chair members of the board and contribute to its continued success in the coming year. Additionally, I am eager to explore new programming opportunities that will make a meaningful impact on our student community.
