In this event, we heard from Tamara Keith, NPR White House Correspondent; Andrew Rudalevige, Ph.D., chair of Bowdoin College’s Government Department, and Nick Jacobs, Ph.D. Assistant Professor of Government at Colby College. Keith questioned President Trump’s actions related to the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter protests. Rudalevige, who has written extensively on the role of presidential power, discussed the use of executive orders to exercise power. Jacobs discussed the impact the White House and the presidency have on national politics.
